john & I have been building this for the last 10 months with our green smoke grenades and john williams techno. if we don't win at least we'll put on a show!

Charging down the course in a one-seater fire engine that definitely isn’t road-legal, Blaze of Glory are here for speed, drama, and maybe the odd crash landing. With no crew to back them up, our lone driver is relying on gravity, bravery, and sheer stubbornness to reach the bottom in one piece. Expect flashing lights, questionable engineering, and plenty of smoke (hopefully just from the tyres).

We've been building our cart for the last 6 months inspired by years of watching the Red Bull Soapbox races. The design is a tribute to the Mad Max films.

Company information: Family run company of 3 brothers, specialising in Home & Platform lifts, based locally in Langford, Bristol and Chesterfield covering nation wide installations & maintenance.

We're colleagues and here to have some fun! We've spent a grand total of 2 weeks building it in-between the day to day.

We are a group of Dads based in Hitchin with children at local schools....the idea of inspiring kids, raising money for charity and having a laugh is what has brought us together to enter for the Hitchin Soapbox race. The team is made up of engineers, techies and product managers, and we expect to bring together our skills to design and build a car, raise money for charity and inspire kids across Hitchin.

We are a group of 4 who share a love for Classic Fiat 500's, all owning 2 or more of these Italian cars. Our Soapbox entry is based on an award winning Fiat 500 Abarth recreation, called Ratacello, owned by Victor. It's a ratty little Fiat bathed in various shades of lemon. Tristan has featured on Wheeler Dealers and Bargain Hunt - but not at the same time. Victor owns more classic Fiats that any one person should - it's a small fleet and he can pretty much stage a classic car show on his own. Saghir can turn his hand to anything, or knows someone who can, or knows someone who knows someone who can. And James has a beard.

High-Octane Rocket League inspired Soapbox - Rohan is chosen to be the driver because he is the smallest. We also decided if we let the others drive, then Alex would probably get lost and try to drive UP the hill, Prenay would be scared to get dirt on his Gucci trainers and Noah would probably fracture something again.

Team Battle Bus is inspired by the game Fortnite. Thanks to my amazing children Fletcher, Finley and Autumn who love to play the video game. Originally they wanted to be involved in the derby but unfortunately are too young so they’ve helped along the way with the build process and painting it. I’m proud to say that they’ll all be here on the sidelines to cheer us on!
